Virtual Summer 2021 NYC - Thoughts?

As we are in early February, what are peoples thoughts on the likely hood for an in-person internship this summer? Specifically NYC, but all American cities. Hybrid? Delayed start? First few weeks at home then come in for last few week? etc

Pretty convinced it will be virtual. Seems like cases are going down now but I think the variants will make things worse come march april, which is when decisions will probably be made

Definitely virtual. Since companies already have virtual infrastructure setup and can use similar programming from last year, they just need to tweak things a bit and they should be good to go for the summer. There's too much logistical stuff that that goes on behind the scenes to make in-person in happen during regular years and I dont think banks would want to prepare for an in-person internship and have to make it virtual again at the last minute.
