Wanting to Leave Finance After a Year - Ideas for a New Industry Pls
Have done a few IB internships and been working FT for a few months and hate it. The hours have nothing to do with my dislike, it is just mind numbing work with no prospect of getting any better in the future. Desperate to hear stories of people who left finance all together for more interesting/fulfilling jobs even if for less money.
This has been discussed a bunch - check out some of the other threads using the search bar.
Did a summer at GS/MS/JPM, wasn't a huge fan, and I am now going full time into product management at a vc backed music label tech startup while modeling and producing music on the side. Lol obviously this is a huge switch up, but you have so many options — from portfolio management at a buy-side fund, to fintech, to asset management, corporate strategy, VC/corporate VC, research, IR, etc. You got it, best of luck!!
