Wells Fargo 2025 Summer Markets Internship - Hiring Timeline?

I was wondering if anyone is interviewing for the same position so far - Wells Fargo 2025 Summer Markets Internship Program. I received an email letting me know I was selected to proceed with a phone interview for CIB markets (been about 3 weeks), but didn't get any follow-up since. There's no recruiter contact information either and I can't contact anyone to ask. Is this typical, or is anyone else experiencing this? I don't want to think that I just missed communication or that they're ghosting me. Thanks.

Based on the most helpful WSO content, it's not uncommon for the recruitment process, especially for competitive internships like the Wells Fargo Summer Markets Internship Program, to have periods of silence that can feel quite lengthy. Here are a few insights and steps you might consider based on similar experiences shared:

  1. Patience is Key: The recruitment process for large financial institutions like Wells Fargo can often be drawn out due to the volume of applicants and the thoroughness of their selection process. It's not unusual for weeks to pass between different stages of the interview process.

  2. Follow-Up: While you mentioned the lack of recruiter contact information, there are a few strategies you could employ to follow up. If you have previously been in contact with anyone from Wells Fargo (e.g., during a networking event, or someone who informed you about the phone interview), reaching out to them could be a start. A polite and concise email expressing your continued interest and inquiring about any updates on the timeline could be beneficial.

  3. Utilize LinkedIn: If direct contact information isn't available, LinkedIn can be a powerful tool for finding recruiters or current employees within the CIB Markets division. Sending a polite message to someone in a relevant position might yield some guidance or at least direct you to the right contact.

  4. Prepare for All Outcomes: Continue preparing for the possibility of a follow-up interview by reviewing your knowledge of the markets, Wells Fargo's position within the industry, and how you can contribute to their team. Simultaneously, keep your options open by applying to other internships and opportunities.

  5. Community Insights: Engaging with the WSO community by asking if others are experiencing similar wait times can provide comfort and additional information. Sometimes, knowing that others are in the same boat can ease anxiety.

Remember, the recruitment process is highly variable and can be influenced by numerous factors outside of your control. Maintaining a proactive but patient approach is often the best strategy.
