Wells Fargo IBD vs Sagent Advisors IBD
Between two offers. Anyone have an update on culture, exit opps, hours, and any other topics that would seem relevant. Thanks.

Which group in WF?
It's up in the air due to a sell/preference day... but most likely consumer or industrials in NY.
IMO, Sagent has gotten this pass for lackluster dealflow because they have excellent senior personnel. There's no explanation as to why they haven't had similar success to a young EB like Moelis, but they haven't, and I think their window is closing.
I just looked up their transactions list on capiq, and they've been on ~20 deals (m&a advisory) in 2013, albeit most are lower MM Deals. Isn't their analyst class in the single digits? Doesn't sound like they're hurting that bad...
Analyst class for NY is in the single digits. Any other insight into deciding between the two?

IBD - what's better?
Sagent for M&A advisory, WF for lev fin or dcm
Do you have offers from both? I'd probably go with Sagent. Looks like they have done a decent amount of transactions and the bios for their employees are pretty strong.
Of course he doesn't have offers from both. He doesn't have them from either. Every day he posts a new thread trying to compare 2-4 new firms.
