WF opportunities
Have an opportunity to join WF as an analyst. Currently at a small boutique. Main goal is to end up in UMM PE however I have few concerns. I’ll be joining the CLT office with hopefully an opportunity to move to NYC later on (want to do PE in NYC ideally). I would be joining a midtier group but even across the platform exits dont look too hot. Can I get an insider scoop about what to expect exits wise? Should I wait for a better opportunity or go ahead with WF (everyone i’ve met at wells seems great)
Bumping, as I am also interested to know
Bumping as well

To be fully transparent, WF is not a great place for buy-side exits. The good momentum of the bank on M&A league tables is not getting reflected on exits yet. Even UBS or Jefferies can offer better options.
The very best exits I have seen out of WF are Audax, H.I.G, Summit, American Industrial Partners or Charlesbank.
You think its a reflection of the standard of analysts they have or moreso a result of headhunters not reaching out?
As an intern I’ve seen from analysts inboxes that headhunters do reach out, maybe this is a lagging indicator for now and coming years will give a better picture
I think there is usually a lag of time between “good results and M&A creds” and “headhunters reaching out”. If WF continues with this trajectory and maintains this league table position for 2 or 3 years, then I imagine recruiters will stop seeing WF as a second or third tier bank.
void title, do you think exit will eventually reflect M&A standing say if it can maintain top 5 US and top 10 globally. the firm has been attracting stronger talent at my target over the past three years
Have u seen any HF exits?
The interns have headhunters already reaching out
Im an analyst in training and even I havent received anything yet
Exits into REPE are pretty good from REGAL, and RE private credit from the CRE lending analyst program. Basically any shop is attainable. Obviously nothing is guaranteed though. Prob the only time you'd see megafund exits from Wells is the RE arms of the big managers.
Depends on which group. Exits ops are lagging the current standing in deal flow and league tables, expect it to normalize in 2-3 years.
M&A group sent analysts to Veritas and HIG
You mean the class that is rolling off this yr right? Dont think ive seen anyone at veritas
