WFH long term?
It seems that more and more people are saying that IB and the rest of the world will never fully return to working in office.
With vaccine distribution starting up do you think that more firms will return to full time in office soon (before 2022) or continue being partially WFH. I know some firms are only 2-3 days a week unless special permission is granted to work more in the office. Having more freedom to WFH in the future is great, but sometimes you just miss collaborating with people in real life.
Do you think we are closer to collaborating in person anytime soon or are we stuck hoping from zoom to zoom for another year?
Can't imagine this WFH lasting another year. Seems like most people (except maybe MDs?) want to be back in the office at least part of the time. And I imagine MDs don't want to be with their families full-time either.
I’m think it’ll 3 days in office/ rest WFH on some sort of rotational schedule for the next 2 years until COVID becomes the new normal common flu. I get the whole “bullpen” shoot the shit thing but honestly I’d be fine not being locked in an office building 25/8, sounds like a little bit of Stockholm syndrome going on
