What Age for PE?
Always wondered this, is it better to move from IB to PE at 24, or to move internally till you get poached as a MD from a PE Firm to go run it as a managing partner?
I just never understood the point of being an associate if chances are slim to move to partnership within the same PE Fund.

Exactly. Why move to PE as an associate when you can just spend 4 decades in IB and become a legendary banker before making the move

What does his age have to do with anything?? I sent the article because it was the most recent it literally happened in october. Any person with a small brain can Google private equity firm poached MD and many articles come up. Get off this forum if you have no value to add.
