what are the deal fees on billion dollar deals?
If centerview partners is the exclusive financial advisor to Happy, inc. on its acquisition of Cheerful, Inc. where the deal size is $30 billion
Are the followiing assumptions correct:
30 billion x 1% (transaction fees) = 300 million
so CVP would collect 300 million in deal fees alone
excl. any financing fees/lawyers/accountants ... seems like a lot ????
1% is a lot, usually 25-50 bips
Still $75-150mm. No wonder a firm like that can offer such strong comp packages.
