What are typical BB M&A fees?

I'm in RX (ignore flair), and a typical RX fee from a debtor ranges anywhere from $2m to $20m (that's rare though). $5m to $15m seems more common just depending on the complexity.

I'm just curious what typical M&A fees are for a BB/EB deal or UMM deal

Ah, the million-dollar question, or should I say, the $2m to $20m question! Based on the most helpful WSO content, it's important to note that M&A fees can vary greatly depending on the size and complexity of the deal. However, the context doesn't provide specific numbers for typical M&A fees at BB/EB or UMM deals.

Remember, the fee structure in M&A deals is often a closely guarded secret and can depend on a multitude of factors including the deal size, the complexity of the transaction, the reputation and negotiation skills of the bank, and the market conditions at the time of the deal.

I'm sorry, but it looks like this may be out of my ability to answer... maybe some of the links below might help?

M&A fees are usually a certain percentage of the transaction value. And the larger the deal, the lower the percentage. For BB/EB range, let me assume you are referring to $10B+ marquee deals. For those, the lead advisor on either side could fetch anywhere from $30M to over $100M in fees. For the upper end, I’ve seen my bank fetch over $100M on some M&A deals but have never heard a bank fetch more than $200M on a singular deal.

% of EV or Transaction Value Usually.

Sellside and Buyside differ and if you are doing Takeover Panel stuff in UK there's usually a mark up.

Also depends if you have a ratchet kicker for overperformance on the sellside and discretionary fees on the buyside.

Typically in the range if 0.5%-1% is a rough guide.
