What bars do young finance professionals hangout in Manhattan?

This might be an insanely stupid question but since I live near the city I thought this might be a good way to network with people by going to the bars where they hangout. Is this stupid or is this a good network strategy?

I want to know which bars to avoid, can someone please list these bars?

Fuhnance bros are often found at Marquee, Lavo. NYU bars that don't card will be filled with interns, and you'll randomly find fuhnance bros around NYU as well.

Fuhnance bros/gals can be found at expensive, overhyped speakeasies like Law's Room where you pay 30 dollars for a cocktail.

Again, I highly doubt you will find anyone in these bars that will help you. Best bet is you meet someone senior at a gym, etc, and develop a relationship with them over time.
