What did you like least about your last job?
Is saying something like " Overall I've been very satisfied with my last job. I've been able to work with some really interesting people. However it was not as analytical as I wanted it to be." acceptable? Especially for someone like me who used to work in back office but now giving interviews for IB? I dread this question even more than the "weakness" question.
don't see why not. if the role you're interviewing for has analytical responsibilities, then supplement it with something like "I loved the people I worked with and learned so much blah blah yea i'm bullshitting yup blah blah, but I always wanted to dive into [insert analytical activity mentioned in job description]"
Don't say that you lack experience in an analytical role. That could be used against you. Focus on something about wanting to be part of the revenue generating side of the business and are attracted to the transactional and project-based nature of IB.
good point
Thanks!!
