Before this thread gets filled with your garden-variety WSO elitist shitposting, I'd like to state for the record that I have worked alongside (and now manage) several ex-Big 4 M&A / valuation guys and have found them to be among the best analysts I've worked with. One guy out of PwC missed top bucket at J.P. Goldman Stanley by a hair our first year (mostly due to bullshit office politics). I supervise a combination of ex-bankers and another PwC guy at the moment, and he's my rockstar.
But yes, it would absolutely be misleading to lie about your fucking title on your resume. One of the few pieces of information HR is actually allowed to release for reference-checks is title.
Well the big four do have investment banking groups so if that is what you are referring to then yes it is correct.
