What drink to order at informational interviews?

Fellow monkeys,

The following is a serious question: what's a safe drink choice to order at Starbucks for an informational interview?

I know that this will come across as a stupid question to many ("just order what you want to order, it doesn't matter"), but I'd like to avoid even the slightest chance that a banker would consciously or subconsciously tag me for a certain type of individual based off of my drink selection.

she_monkeyall seriousness: regular coffee or regular tea

get regular hot unless its middle of the summer, the regular iced

its so plain that theres no way to label you anything over it

and yes its okay to get skim milk over regular, especially if you're a chick

i dont know whether you'd get a comment as a guy elsewhere, but in NY everyones such a health freak that skim/0% fat is the new default milk

hope it helps. i know everyones picking on you for this but this was a legitimate concern for me at one point.. and I kinda still struggle with what to order at informal networking drinks (i.e. alcoholic bev)

illiniPrideYou don't want to be tagged as the guy who worries about what to order at Starbucks.
That's exactly the point, isn't it?

I know that this comes across as a stupid question to a lot of you, but for someone who hasn't had much exposure to coffee in social settings, I think that this is a legitimate question. I go into Starbucks pretty frequently with friends and usually order an iced coffee or frappuccino, but I highly doubt that a caramel frap is considered acceptable in a networking setting.

Thanks for the serious responses. I figured that there's no harm in asking.

I usually go with cranberry juice with a lemon (always ask for the lemon). If they don't have it I get a water with a medium amount of crushed ice, and I drink it with a straw. This works wonders for networking/informational interviews.

normal people would just get plain coffee. it's not like starbucks is known for that or anything...

but in your case, since you are obviously a retard, i would suggest asking for something in a sippee cup, you know, so you don't spill shit all over your neatly pressed church clothes with velcro that your mommy laid out for you for your big boy interview.

as i've said before in countless posts, just don't be a weirdo and overthink shit and you'll do fine in your interview.
