What group is this interview for?
Received an email today from a guy at JPM who wanted to set up a phone interview. He didn't mention what group he was in or what group the interview is for. I searched him up and he's in institutional equity sales, so does this mean that's the group I'm interviewing for?
I applied for the CIB Markets SA a while back so maybe that's what the interview's for? I honestly have no idea what to expect for the interview.

considering this is a first round for the markets SA, how should I prepare? i'm trying to do IBD so not as familiar with the markets SA program

Try to study the behavioral questions. Know what's happening in the markets and around the world, won't be surprise if they ask about a stock pitch. Read up on your news and just be able to show them you know what the heck is happening

Happened to me with JPM a while back too, I received a very brief “would love to set up a call”, it’s a first round Markets interview so be ready, but no it’s not necessarily equity sales specifically just for markets in general.
