Anyone have experience what happens to your licenses under a variety of factors? I understand they last for two years if you leave banking (but doesn't the SIE last for 4?) What if you went to PE, or you went to business school, etc? Do you still keep them? Do you have to retake them? What companies can you work for and still retain your licenses? Could you just set up a company that fulfills the requirement and park your licenses?

You have to work at a bank or PWM shop to keep your license active, otherwise it expires and you need to retake upon re-entry to a role that requires it
