What is a M&A Advisory?
Are M&A advisories considered investment banks? If so, why do they call themselves advisories rather than investment banks, and how are they different? Thanks in advance!

You need to be FINRA certified and good to go with the SEC to call yourself an investment bank. M&A advisories do the same thing except bypass that restriction.
