What is harder: breaking into a good BB/EB as an IB analyst or breaking into PE once you’re already an analyst? For PE it doesn’t have to be a MF, can be a MM/UMM

Breaking into MM+ PE is around 10-15x harder than breaking into a BB/EB in my experience (did both).
What makes it harder? *Broad question I know
IB is competing against idiots for a large number of spots. PE is competing against really smart, pedigreed, polished, connected, and experienced kids for a small number of spots.
