What is the maximum that a VP, Associate or Analyst can earn at an Investment Bank?
I understand that for MD’s, there’s a huge upside based on deals actually originated and closed, but how about for other team members? Is it possible for an Associate to make $1million if the team closes enough deals?

Analyst and associate pay is capped at a certain range and does not vary based on deals. You will have slightly higher bonus to compensate for the amount of work, but not double the previous year or anything.
What is the general range of that rate? 1-3x base salary? Ie. If base salary is $150k, is it possible for the bonus to go up to $450k for a total comp of $600k?
Analysts will only clear 1x base at a top EB, more like 0.8x base at your typical BB or MM. Associate is usually around 1x, 1.5x for top bucket in a good year, excluding the really lavish EBs (CVP).
There are no associates clearing 600k on a 150k bonus - or at all really, 600k is like VP all in not first year ASO. At 150k base your total comp is ~300k, and at least some of that is likely in stock.
Work at a top mm, highest bonus I’ve seen from a first year analyst was 1.2x base, from second year 1.3x
