what is the tasks different between ECM and IBD?

I saw someone said there are some differences between ECM and ‘Traditional’ IBD. What is the difference? Can suggest some different tasks done by this two Dept? As I think ECM is what IBD traditionally do. Thanks in advance!!!

Sorry bro I did google before ask here. But the info from google confused me:( I found someone said that Ibd is different from ECM/DCM. Because some ECM/DCM are under Trading desk. But some said ECM/DCM is under Ibd, all snt mns ecm dcm are all ibd. Soit confused me a lot. wanna know are there any tasks exclusively for ibd? other than what ecm dcm snt mna do. thanks anyway!!under
