What role for a mixture of client-facing and technicals?
Hi. I have always planned to go into a sales role, so I had planned to aim for a sales role in asset management or S&T. In the last few weeks, I have been taking a keen interest in equities analysis, modelling and am intrigued by the idea of making projects and determining whether a stock is buy/sell etc. I was wondering what roles in banking would actually involve working on these kinds of activities? I am assuming it would only be on the investment/research team at hedge funds, asset management firms etc.
Alternatively, would a sales role get any sort of modelling training and experience? Or would it be strictly related to bare technicals and mostly client-relationship management?
Thanks for any insight in advance.
