Which one would you choose: an internship at a middle market IB or internship at Verizon's Finance Leadership program?
I can definitely see myself either in corporate finance or IB.

MM IB. You can always go back to corp fin. You can't go corp fin to IB.
Unlikely, but assuming OP is a reasonably intelligent person he can probably do whatever he wants. I made the transition from Corp Fin to a top IB in a quick second. And took that over some pretty decent MM PE offers.
That said, do whatever you feel you'll get more out of. Most likely the answer is MM IB, but don't do IB just because it's IB.
Corp dev or corp fin? If corp fin, you are clearly the exception to the rule. Did you have any prior experience? How were you at modeling?

Well I had an interview with Verizon, and they said I did really well. But as of now, I haven't heard anything from them yet so I took the offer at MM IB.
