What's been going on the last few days?
Can someone explain whats going on with the stock market and DOW? What's happening and what's making it do bad? I'm pretty ignorant when it comes to stocks and the terminology so pls be as noob friendly as you can be. Is this leading to a new recession?

US politicians were/are acting like children and a big credit rating agency removed their top rating from US debt resulting in a big initial decline and added a lot of volatility to the markets.
