What's the Excel keyboard short cut for double clicking that + again?

Need a quick refresher if you guys can help out. I know that:

ctrl + D copies down, ctrl + R copies across

ctrl + space highlights the whole column, shift + space highlights the whole row

Well, let's say I have a column of 5,000 rows and I wanna copy a formula down until the end (but not the entire infinite column) - how do I do this again? The mouse way would be to double click that + sign.

Thanks and sorry, don't know how to word this for a google search..

Thanks man, although ctrl shift down only works in certain cases. It's programmed to go to the last cell in a column before a blank cell.

So if there is nothing under the "chunk" I'm trying to highlight and copy down, then Ctrl Shift Down will just take me all the way down to the very bottom row (like 10,000+, you know what I mean?

I see your issue. The way I've gotten around it is to ctrl shift down the longer row next to it, move over and enter any random character in the empty row in the cell below your last row. It'll stop you at that character when you copy down, delete the character before moving on.

Haven't heard of a better way to do it but maybe someone else or the new Excel version has a better way

Ah gotcha. Yeah that could work if I make it a habit to always have a random row of values 2 rows below the "real" last row.

Or at that point I might as well just bring my lazy self to double click the + sign haha

Thanks for the help!
