Where Would You Rank The "Noveau" BBs (JEF/RBC/BMO/BNP/HSBC)?

Given the recent heavy decline in UBS/DB and CS' death along with Barclays' layoffs, there's 4 new spots open for BB status that has been filled by JEF/RBC/BMO/BNP/HSBC since 2022-2023, IMHO.

I think these are the new rankings for BBs (and former BBs) based on a mix of deal flow, international prestige/perception and selectivity/exclusivity.

Tier 1. JPM/GS

Tier 1.5. MS

Tier 2. BofA/Citi

Tier 2.5. Barclays/JEF/RBC

Tier 3. CS/WF/BMO

Tier 3.5. UBS/DB/BNP/HSBC

Life is short, youth is finite, and opportunities endless. Make sure you devote all your time to arguing with strangers about who works at the more prestigious bank.
