Which banks have the best internal support systems?

After spending a mere four days at my BB (coming from tech), I am already enormously frustrated with the antiquated/clumsy nature of the company's internal systems. Things like: disparate and disconnected HR/people management systems, outdated communication software, terrible VPN clients, slow and clueless tech support...the list grows daily.

I understand the need for secure systems (especially for very large enterprises like BB banks) make it difficult to scale new technology that can ease this pain, but I'm wondering: which institutions (perhaps broken out by BB vs boutique?) tend to have the best and most up-to-date tools and internal systems?
