Which NYC Gym?

I’ll be doing my junior year IB internship next summer in NYC and I was wondering what gym I should go for. My office is on Hudson yards so I was thinking either Equinox (right downstairs) or maybe Soulcycle where I could squeeze in a class every morning. They seem nice but also a bit overpriced tbh. Would it be worth it? If not, what gyms do you guys go to, I’d love to hear recommendations. I’m aware a lot of people chose equinox to “network” but realistically does anyone network in the gym? Female here btw.

Depends on the actual location (in SF, the Pine Street one is pretty terrible for what you get for example - way too crowded, not that nice, equipment is meh, etc.) and how much you use the classes. If you don't take any of the classes, you lose a ton of value.

For OP, issue w/ Equinox is usually they force you to sign a year long contract I think? There are ways around this (just fake a USPS change of address notice to a place where there isn't an Equinox w/in a certain # of miles and you can get out of it), but just a heads up.

Blink is stupid cheap, and if you get a promo if could be free for the entire summer (3 months). Just make sure you cancel before the 45 day period. There are many Blinks around. Peak hours are super busy, but if you get in the morning it isn't so bad depending on the location.

I had a New York Sports Club membership paid by my work and it was fine for me. Several locations, and they offer classes too. ~$90 a month I believe?

Go all the way

Blink is like $25/month and is the same thing as equinox (owned by equinox) just doesn't have the wild (and uneceesary, imo) perks
