While recruiting, did you hold a job?

Have held a few part time jobs over the summers but never really worked while at school. Not that I didn't need to... just really channeled a bum mentality until the beginning of this academic year.

For those of you who worked throughout undergrad and recruiting, what's the move here? In a mid-sized college town, not a city but not bumblefuck.
