Was like you similarly as a senior now reflecting. The transition is quite surreal but realize most of these people have been sheltered all their life and have no real world experience outside of their rich affluent bubble ie( living in UES,CT, or PEA, etc) nothing wrong with that but these people conduct in life in a complete different way than most of us from a normal upbringing can understand. OP wish you the best but just stay focused on staying true to yourself and not let these people change you. Got lost in the sauce trying to fit in with them but ultimately said fuck them and did me. haha. I'm pretty out of shape right now, but would bet money I could beat this kid in MMA. Unless he is 260lbs 6'8" type of dude. I'm 240, but could cut to 205 to fight. Cutting is half the battle. I started training Muay Thai under Uriah Hall in 2011, which was when OP was 4. Technique is king in Muay Thai and BJJ. I have pretty strong punches, but my low kicks will disable you. I have such a hard low kick to hit the quads that it sounds like a cannon when I hit the heavy bag each time. I have a decent amount of sparring experience, which is very important to prepare for a real sanctioned fight. If OP has no real boxing, Muay Thai, or BJJ instruction, he stands zero chance. Despite what it looks like on TV, MMA is a highly technical sport.
Yeah it's a lot of fun. I used to train when I was a kid. BJJ especially is like chess.
