Why Nomura for Interview
Hi wso, I'll interview for Nomura's London Summer Analyst program and I wanted to ask if anyone of you had any insights for the "Why Nomura?" part of the interview.
My ideas so far:
- unique access to Asia
- strong balance sheet
- a lot of runway to grow

Sushi bar
Is this true? Is there really a sushi bar? I need insight into this
Reach out to ppl at the firm and ask them why they chose to recruit for nomura and what they like about the firm

-Asia/West bridge
-Acquired Greentech so strong focus on renewables
-Smaller team so exposed to models very early on, but still has capacity of large/balance sheet bank
Everyone is shitting on Nomura but it’s a decent bank. Some of their teams have great deal flow (Greentech, Infra, Consumer, levfin)… These teams place very well in BB/EB or other funds. Talking about the EMEA btw
