Paper and packing is a huge traditional industry with mostly consolidated multinational players who have been very acquisitive so M&A dealflow will likely continue. Talk about the mega mergers in the space and analyze deal rationales in the interview. It is also an industry that can meaningfully champion and lead ESG transformations — ethically sourced raw materials and supply chain, environmentally friendly end products, employee equity given the 10,000+ headcounts at all major players. The guy above might have been too blunt but there’s truth to this. If u want and qualify for the job, you should show initiative and finance/business sense. Start building that by reading the news and doing more research on your own. A core competency in this practice is problem solving and information gathering and analyzing skills.
