Will a mistake in my interview model ding my chance to receive superday invitation?

Hi everyone, thank you in advance for your help! I had an phone interview with a boutique investment bank located in Chicago, and during the interview, the interviewer asked me about a number I put on my slides to illustrate my model---and it was a mistake: I updated my model and the next slide without updating the previous slide. The whole conversation was smooth, but I just wanted to know if that one mistake will destroy my chance to receive the superday invitation. Any advice or insight will be greatly appreciated!! Thank you again.

It might or it might not. If they really love you and other interviewees performed similarly with mistakes, you could survive it. If you didn't have a great social rapport and/or other interviewees aced this part, obviously you look worse.

No point in worrying about it now that it's done, but just stay keen and follow up with sincere interest in the job, and see what happens. Mistakes happen on the job in real life and you just have to do the best you can.

Be excellent to each other, and party on, dudes.

Thank you very much! They gave me 5 days to finish a 5-yr pro forma model and answer questions, and I made the slides to present my answers (that's where the mistakes happened, I guess more is less this time). The interviewer commented "thorough" and "know your stuff" but I think you're right, at this point worrying is useless. I will follow up.

Reiterate that you have really enjoyed getting to know the team, the more you reflect on this opportunity you realize it is perfect for your long term career goals and a great fit for your personality and skills, that they are your number one choice, etc. No downside to laying on the love for boutiques in particular, that's what they want to hear and it can bump you up from being a #2 candidate to a #1 (I have seen it happen)

Be excellent to each other, and party on, dudes.
