Will I Get Drug Tested?

Got a 2017 SA position in SoCal.

-Bud is legal in CA.
-There are only a few other interns (5).
-Last year SA going back FT told me she didnt get a drug test.
-No mention of drug test except in background check release it says, "The information that may be included in your report include: social security number trace, authorization to work checks, criminal records checks, civil record checks, financial information and credit checks, federal record checks, public court records checks, driving records checks, drug tests, physical tests, educational records checks, employment history verification, references checks, sanction, licensing and certification checks."

Only the part that says drug tests in that release form worries me, but no details after that. Am I good?

P.S. I already know I'm gonna receive plenty of hate for this millionth drug test post, so if you're gonna insult me, make it a good roast :) (might get an SB...)

SilverboyBaghs, whether or not bud is legal in one state does not matter in the eyes of most companies- they will still drug test you and fire you because they are worried about federal repercussions. If last year's interns were not drug tested, you probably won't be either. Drug testing isn't exactly a service that labs provide as a charity.

I don't think I could do as well in behavioral interviews if I didn't occasionally partake in drug abuse; helps me relate to interviewers who, more likely than not, also made some bad decisions in college.

Recruiting aside, everyone on this board including myself works hard but sometimes I wanna do childish things, just to feel like a college kid... Can't always be thinking a step ahead

Because it helps me a lot in my day to day life and I can still get the job done :) With all due respect, I spent just as much time as those that would "kill" for the opportunity. I went through all the rounds of networking, prepping, mock interviewing, you name it. The difference is when I relax, I smoke to completely relax and when I wake up, I feel rejuvenated and satisfied enough that I can focus 100% of my attention on my work. I used to be against it too, until I realized I wasted just as much time back then, except I wasted it on useless internet articles and YouTube videos.

Companies will govern themselves by Federal law before State law. Act accordingly. Even my defense contractor posted a message on our intranet about it lol.

Stop hitting the pipe. Seriously, take some time off before you start applying. It is not that difficult to just set it down.

Only two sources I trust, Glenn Beck and singing woodland creatures.

You can call me a joke, but I landed my dream internship and missed a total of 1 technical my entire recruiting experience (from BB to elite boutique) junior year. I worked hard. I think I deserve a bit of celebration, especially with some friends that I won't see for many years at the conclusion of this semester. You drink coffee to stay awake and work. You drink alcohol to forget your problems. I smoke bud to help me sleep and rest better, provide me with new perspectives on certain problems, and allow me to relate with some of my closest friends on a deep level.

^Nice patronizing post. Take this from a student trying to break into banking: I have spent every living moment of the last year and a half networking, keeping my grades up (3.8), and hustling to get where you are right now. I am pretty close to doing anything to get an internship in investment banking and that certainly includes passing whatever background check or drug test they throw at me. Why would you pass up a dream job/career for weed? If there is a slight chance they drug test, its not worth it. Congrats on the offer, and do the right thing and put your pipe down.

yes

get quickfix from urineluck. microwave for 10-20 seconds. wrap in hand warmers. stuff in your underwear (preferably get a jock strap with a pocket for a cup and stick it in there)

it will hold the 90-100 degree temperature for at least 3 hours

pour it in the pee cup. done. easiest thing in the world
