Worst manager behaviour, unable to cope

My manager (Z) asked me to cover a new region in Asia as part of my job. I have candidly asked her “can I expect travel” and she said “no”. This is fine until now She then reached out to my senior colleague (X) (who I sit with everyday) and complained about this saying - why is she (me) so much interested in travel? It is inappropriate to ask about travel in the very first conversation etc etc X called me and told this to me and my reaction was Z could have directly said this to me and not sure why she has to channel this through you. I’m unable to fathom why my manager would discuss something I mentioned to her in private to everyone. And what’s wrong in asking for travel - they don’t think twice before staffing me on new shit. And I have never asked about travel earlier even though I worked on multiple geographies. I feel weird about all this. This is mental torture. Stupid corporate jobs.
