Would It Seem Desperate
Hi Fellow Monkeys,
I messed up an answer on a superday last week. The rest of it went decently well - it seemed like my sense of humor was liked by most of my interviewers, and I think I nailed my "why."
But, I fucked up. And I tried to rationalize my mistake rather than own up to it. Would it be desperate/out of line to send the interviewer I messed up with a second follow-up (I already sent a thank-you - he didn't respond) recognizing my mistake?
Thank you for your opinions. Have a great weekend!
If you think it comes off as desperate, if probably does. Also what do you mean by “fucked up”, that’s a strong phrase and if you fuck up it’s usually a ding - interview or internship wise.
Agree with IBMonkey, more likely than not, the decision has been made. Would've been a good email to send as soon as you got out of the superday.
Don't stop applying and networking with folks from other banks.
Good luck.
Most of the time post-interview, people think of the worst parts during the interview. You probably did a lot better than you think
