Would It Seem Desperate

Hi Fellow Monkeys,

I messed up an answer on a superday last week. The rest of it went decently well - it seemed like my sense of humor was liked by most of my interviewers, and I think I nailed my "why."

But, I fucked up. And I tried to rationalize my mistake rather than own up to it. Would it be desperate/out of line to send the interviewer I messed up with a second follow-up (I already sent a thank-you - he didn't respond) recognizing my mistake?

Thank you for your opinions. Have a great weekend!
