Would you pay mentorship fee?
Recently spoke with an associate from BB. He told me that he helps students to prepare their interviews and networking. Charging $350 per session. Allegedly persuade me to purchase 10 sessions with him. lol

Career Resources
Hell no
I can do 1/3 of that price lol
I reached out on LinkedIn asking to network and get some interview advise lollll turns out he’s sensing a business opportunity
That’s crazy and illegal I’m pretty sure, esp if hes helping u receuit at his bank, but most of my friends do this for free. Have seen this get capitalized very quickly, know a ton of people who got return offers but didn’t like the job so just made helping others get this job, their job lol and charging absurd prices in the name of guaranteed job.
Tbh they are just capitalizing on how bad you want the job as well and them giving you comfort in the fact that they will ensure you get the job and refund if you don’t is also to motivate you more. At the end of the day u can bring that energy urself and get free resources everywhere
lol at least it’s a guaranteed in the case you mentioned. That associate was like a mentor program for over 10 sessions. I think as an associate the max he can do is push resume. He’s hot the hiring manager
So bro is quite literally charging for a r1 lol
You're in luck; I dealt with a similar situation when breaking into banking early on.
The year was 2012. A harsh winter disrupted northern sea currents and drove salmon southward, causing a major shortage. None of the fisheries were hiring, but I needed an income. Desperate for stability, I struck a deal with the the big boss of a top fishery to give him 20% of my salmon catch for mentorship and recommendations.
After being hired I realized this went against tribunal bylaws. The chief of the arctic sea prohibited payment of fish for placement during the polar bear population crisis, as fish were scarce enough that hiring too many bad hunters would endanger the tribe. But the law still stood.
I challenged the big boss to a trial by combat in front of the 12 Northern Chiefs of Anchorage. His weapon of choice: a bear claw. Mistake on his part. Using my golf club, I was victorious in the trial and won the trial. I am entitled to 30% of his share of salmon for the next 50 moons.
This became my "good luck" golf club, which I would later use to hit 15 below par in the Chattanooga municipal golf course
Love your allegory
I thought this forum was in agreement that this isn’t funny anymore
If this is seriously the case PM. I will report it, in exchange I will send you 5k. It’s unacceptable to even propose this, also happy to mentor you for free along intros to my friends.
It’s serious lol. I moved on to others who are willing to help
I mentored my friend this year for banking, he landed a BB. It’s what you do for people because people do it for you. Not to land a fee. I would suggest you go talk to someone who is a year above you and landed an internship and ask them for advice.
