3.5 - 3.6 GPA low for MBB FT?
Hey all,
I have seen across this platform a lot of posts saying that the perfect GPA for MBB is 3.7+. I wanted to know if it's actually true. Right now I am a senior in college and I have a Big 4 consulting intership coming up this summer, and my current GPA is 3.56. I'm planning to apply to MBBs for FT. Do you guys think I have a chance to get a FT offer at one of the MBBs with that GPA? Thanks.
Your ECs will have to carry you extra hard to make up for the lower GPA, but it is still possible. Perhaps the easier route might be a Big 4/T2 role and then a lateral move after 12-18 months if recruitment fails this time around.
Got it, Thanks for the info. I have some solid ECs tho like club presidency, and I'm part of my school investment group. Do you think this can count strongly?
It might be a little harder, but it's definitely still possible. I've seen peers at target schools (who had junior summer internships with Big 4 consulting firms) get FT offers for Bain and BCG. I do think GPA matters more for McKinsey.
