5 year HF analyst - lull or fine

Hi WallStreetOasis,

I hope those experience can help take stock on my career. I think it's going average but any comments would help. I know WSO is a source of valuable advice.

Quick recap: top 10 US school, economics comp sci double major, 3.6 gpa, 5 years collectively at two equity l/s HF around 700m as analyst, no ib experience, and some research published in practicioners magazines. Current work is 70% churning numbers 30% idea generation. I'm happy where I am. Obviously no PnL. Seeks to be a PM in 3 years time.

Realistic goal to get trade allocation in 3 years time and what are the baby steps to get there?
