8-Week, 6-Round Process… Rejected. How Do You Move On?

Just wrapped an 8-week, 6-round interview process with a firm I was genuinely excited about. Thought things were trending well, kept getting pushed forward, and then got the rejection email at the end.

Not really sure how to feel. It’s disappointing after investing so much time and energy, and it’s hard not to overthink every answer. At the same time, I know late-stage rejections often come down to internal candidates, shifting headcount, or other things you can’t control.

For anyone who’s been through this, how did you bounce back mentally? What helped you reset and keep your confidence up after a long, drawn-out process ends in a no?

Any advice appreciated.
