A year out and I already feel like I'm gonna get no return offer

Non-target that signed with an BB satelite group (<10 SA people in there). There's an associate who helped me a lot during recruiting and a first year analyst. The first year's analyst' best friend hates me. The dude isn't well liked at our school but he feels strongly about me for some reason (He's a senior rn). I don't know the first year too well but I'm very nervous that I may end up not getting the return. Is there any advice on this?

Also anything I can do in the meantime to prep? Should I just spam tech primers and build models later in the spring? Seeing people with no returns is really scaring me and I really don't want to be unemployed...

You are way overthinking this... also to be clear, you're a current junior and he's a senior? he literally won't be hitting the desk until after you're finished with the internship.

Even if he did somehow give you negative feedback, you will work with a bunch of people and that is valued over an incoming first year's random beef with you. You're fine. No need to prep like crazy, if you can learn a bit about the industry that's helpful but interns hardly even touch models. It's a low bar and you just need to be willing to learn.

I'm currently a junior. The guy working FT is currently a first year but his best friend is still in school (didn't grad on time...). Sounds good. I'll probably network a little too before the internship and ping my associate and ask for advice later in the spring.

I just got really nervous reading people getting no return offers...'
