Add people you worked with at your last internship on LinkedIn?

Curious on how this is viewed...

For previous interns did you add those that you worked with on LinkedIn or did you just maintain communication via email/phone? For current employees? Should previous interns that you've worked with add you on LinkedIn? How do you personally feel about it and how do your colleagues feel about it? Does adding everyone make them seem annoying or is it fine? Do you prefer that they keep in contact with them via email/phone instead?

If you spent 10 weeks with a group or firm, you should totally feel fine in sending LinkedIn requests. I might suggest staggering requests if the group is large. I think it may make even more sense to send requests if you'll be returning to said group or firm full-time.
