Advice needed: incoming freshman in undergrad & an aspiring investment banker

Hello all,

I'm an incoming freshman at the University of Michigan's Ross School of Business looking to pursue a career in IB. Aside from applying to top finance clubs on campus first semester, what other steps should I be taking to break into the industry? Ideally, I'd love to have an internship at a PE firm next summer to get some deal experience--I've already begun compiling a list of firms in my area that I'll reach out to in September. I'd say I have a really good resume for a kid my age, but I do lack a finance background--what should I be doing to prepare for summer interviews? Basically, please just give me any info you'd think I'd benefit from. Thanks in advance.
