Advice on moving to a more high pressure firm

Hi all,

I'm a 1st year analyst at one of the firms known for a better work life balance - State Street, Vanguard, etc...

The hours are friendly and while the pay is good, it doesn't compete with the IB's.

I want somewhere higher pressure with better pay. Any advice on making a transition to IB/PE/HF for someone who has good credentials and experience in markets, treasury, collateral at one of the aforementioned firms?
