Alumnus offered to pass resume along... Did he forget?

Early last week I reached out to an alumnus for an informational interview and we had a great conversation. He was a lot of help and he offered to pass my resume along to some of his contacts. He said he would do it near the end of the week and would CC me in the emails. I haven't heard anything yet, should I send him an email and remind him this week?

Bump. This is always tough. Someone offered to do the same for me but never mentioned anything about further contact, so ill never really know if the person passed it along or not. Just have to have faith.

100% follow up. If you did hit it off and he did offer to CC you on the communications you should follow up once. So easy to forget what you told some random person at the beginning of a week. After one follow up and he still does nothing? Well, now you know he was just being polite. Move on.

Just had my trade dispute rejected by Schwab for a loss of 35k. This single issue alone should be a gigantic red flag to anyone who trades on their platform. If they have a system error, and you do not video record your trading (they actually said this), they will not honour their fuck up. Switching everything away from them. Fuck this company.

I thought it went well at least. I like to think he wouldn't have offered to pass it along if I didn't give a good impression.

But anyway, how should I word the email without seeming annoying and pushy. That is my biggest fear when I send out emails.

Everyone's afraid when they first start out. No need to over think. Just remember you're both regular people and you've already made a good impression.

If you made a good impression you'd have to write a hilariously bad email to make him not pass on your resume. On the other hand, if you made a bad impression, no matter how well you word this email it won't help you make a good impression.

"Hey X, hope you had a great weekend. Thanks for jumping on the call last week to shed some light on X. Really appreciate you offering to pass along my resume too, it means a lot. I've attached my most recent resume. Let me know if you have any questions or if there's anything I can do to help.

Thanks again X, I'll let you know how it goes!"
