Am I doing it right?

I’ve been having bunch of networking calls recently but unsure if this is going alright. About 50% of the calls end with the bankers telling me they will introduce me to someone in their team. The calls have been about hobbies and other miscellaneous things, as well as detailed questions about my internships and why certain banks/groups. Is this just a courtesy? I feel like I’m shit and poorly spoken but the people are simply nice and don’t feel like I will make it anywhere. Tbh I am insecure and don’t feel like I’m good enough to make it to banking. Would appreciate honest feedback.
