Am I Overthinking This? PE Interview Response Time
Had a first-round (which included a model test) for a PE role for summer 2024 earlier this past week. Nailed the model test and had great conversations otherwise. Sent out thank you notes and multiple people responded saying it was great to meet me, that I had an impressive background and that they'll be in touch soon regarding next steps.
Haven't heard from them since (it's been ~3 days) so don't know if I am getting the next round or no. Have historically only participated in on-cycle where I was always notified the day of (usually a few hours after the interview) so I don't know if this is normal and the anxiety in me is killing me.

You’re their second round choice. They friendzoned you for now and are waiting to hear from their first choice. If their top choice flakes, you’ll get a call to f*ck soon enough.
Yeah but it’s not like they have handed out an offer. You don’t really do second round waitlists tbh.
