For banking, I think the people below me already have a great answer. The only thing I'd say is I would send in the app first and then network (say something like hey I've been interested for a while, since the app is live I thought it's a good time to learn more about your experience). Be genuine and have a great answer for why banking. As for other roles, I'd say consulting for 2023 is picking up, as well as a few quant trading firm. You can also go for something MO, which usually opens later, and then lateral or use b school to pivot.

Depends on your resume. Assuming you have previous internships, start applying to SA 2023 internships posted in the last two weeks. You can go past two weeks if you have time. Network where you apply. Also network at UBS since they are yet to post.

If you’re recruiting for banking— you are a bit late to the game but there is still a very very small window to catch up.. most if not all banks have started their regular (non diversity) cycle already so I would start networking like there’s no tomorrow.. I can’t speak much on experiences you have on your resume but if you don’t have much right now I would imagine it is going to put you at a huge disadvantage — I’m not a professional or anything but not sure if networking can make up for that since it’s just so competitive

A lot of the bulge brackets (Citi, BofA, etc.) tend to start later than EBs (ex. PJT already finished sending out their non diversity first rounds) however that ISNT to say that It is still “early” for BBs and that you shouldn’t only focus on those. I would recommend networking to get an idea of where each bank is at with their recruiting process or simply just looking on WSO forums. One rule I followed was that you should try to network with 1-2 people before sending in your app— it might just get lost in the mix with the thousands of other resumes
