I am a current sophomore at a non target gearing up for SA recruiting. I had a corp finance internship freshman year and will be doing Big four for sophomore summer. Ive got a good GPA and have been networking a lot. I feel like I don't have enough because I don't have any M&A-related internships or any modeling experience. Will this hurt me?

No. Most ib internships are p bullshit, big 4 soph summer is p good. Just make sure your why banking is down solid. And if you got big 4 soph summer legitimately then your prolly diversity and if you got it by lying about being a junior then you clearly are competent enough to get a banking job
Hey there, don't fret! Based on the most helpful WSO content, you're not in a bad position at all. You've got a good GPA, you've been networking, and you've got some solid internships under your belt. Sure, M&A and modeling experience can be beneficial, but they're not the be-all and end-all.
Remember, everyone starts somewhere. Even if you don't have direct experience, you can still demonstrate your interest and knowledge in M&A. Maybe you've taken relevant courses, or you've done some self-study. Highlight these points in your applications and interviews.
Also, don't underestimate the value of your corporate finance and Big Four experience. These roles have likely given you a strong foundation in finance, and you've probably developed some transferable skills along the way.
So, keep your chin up and continue to put your best foot forward. You're on the right track!
