An extremely nice MD, or a sign for good news?
Hey all.
So I’ve been interviewing for this bank , and the last round interview was a zoom with an MD. Not technical at all - completely behavioral, and felt like a genuine ‘get to know conversation’ which went pretty smooth in my opinion.
After half an hour he apologized and said that he has to run to a meeting (that was the part where I asked him my questions). Also he mentioned that the answers should be finalized within a week or two. I said that I still do have some more to ask but I won’t delay him and that’s ok. He kindly replied that I’m welcome to schedule an extra 10-15 minutes conversation through his secretary so he could reply the rest of my questions. I thanked him greatly and said I would, but afterwards I felt like I shouldn’t actually schedule that additional conversation because he should be super busy, and I let it go.
2 weeks later, I got an email from the secretary, asking if I’m available to have another zoom call with this MD, mentioning that part of which our last call was ended due to limited time.
I’m wondering if that’s a good sign and that he’s gonna take this opportunity to formally let me know some good news, or is it just him being super nice and it might go both ways? I mean, would he scheduled a zoom to let me know I wasn’t chosen? Is this something that happens?
Happy to hear your opinions on what to expect in this situation?
Thank you!
Bro, use your brain lol. If he didn't like you, why would the secretary reach out. LMFAO
It was an intensive process, and I took the time and effort. Maybe even though there was someone else who performed better he wants to give me that sense of respect? Idk..
pls bro just go
