It is completely possible if you’re willing to hustle. I went to an absolute non-target and was able to convert a FT offer without ever having a summer analyst position.
how soon was this after your graduation? do you mind me asking what firm?
I’m a 2020 grad. One of the Middle Market IB leaders (Baird/Blair/HL)
what do comps look like? did you have a connection or just continued application?
Comp is very normal compared to any IB FT position. I networked extremely hard to gain contacts that helped me get an interview, but before I began I had no Front office contacts.
