Any interns looking to split a two bedroom in midtown for the summer?

around 1700 a month per person, not much more than what you'd pay for NYU housing or something similar and you get a private room. PM me for details

MomentaLaughhow are you going to afford 1700 for rent as an intern?

thats about half of your monthly paycheck

What? Most NYC IBD interns make $20k+ over 10 weeks...that's at least $8k/month (before taxes).

Interns make about 10*(70k/48) + 2000 to 3000 = ~17000 before tax. I'm not going to calculate taxes but I'll assume they withhold about 6k (u'll get most of it back since u didn't make much for the whole year). Anyway you keep around 11k. So 11k - 1700(3) = 5600 since you generally rent monthly.

So yea you're spending half of your after tax, before refund, income on rent!
